In terms of heritage, our 16 villages are full of little nuggets to be discovered without moderation, such as :
- Trigance - The Moulin de Soleils - the last traditional water-powered flour mill in operation in the Var.
- Aiguines - Col d'Illoire or Grand Margès and their panoramic view of the Gorges du Verdon.
- Les Salles-sur-Verdon - The permanent exhibition of photos and models on the sunken valley at the Tourist Information Centre.
- Bauduen - Les andrônes - staircase streets quite common in Haute-Provence.
- Baudinard - La Chapelle Notre-Dame de la Garde situated at an altitude of 709 m.
- Artignosc-sur-Verdon - The old communal bread oven behind the castle.
- Villecroze - The Tree Park at the foot of the troglodytic caves.
- Tourtour - Saint-Denis church and its panorama all the way to Mont Faron on windy days.
- Vérignon - La Chapelle Notre-Dame de Liesse - small perched chapel.
- Aups - The 1851 insurrection monument - only 5 monuments dedicated to this event in France.
- Moissac-Bellevue - The Notre-Dame de la Roque chapel and its belvedere offering a magnificent view of the plain they overlook.
- Régusse - The windmills among the Var's last traditional flour mills.
- Châteauvieux - La Chapelle Saint-Pierre-en-Demueyes in the middle of a glade.
- La Martre - The 18th century Serre bridge, known as the “Pont de Madame” over the Artuby river.
- Brenon - the panorama of the Alps from the rock overlooking the village along the hiking trail: The heights of Brenon
- Le Bourguet - Le Castrum de Bagarris medieval site of a fortified village destroyed in the 16th century.
Among these villages, Baudinard-sur-Verdon, Moissac-Bellevue, Régusse, Tourtour and Villecroze have been awarded the “towns and villages in bloom” label;
Tourtour is one of France's most beautiful villages;
Aups and Villecroze are classified as Villages de caractère du Var - Aups is also classified as one of France's Most Beautiful Detours.

To refresh you from our hot days, a swimming in our lakes is just the thing!
Numerous beaches or small coves on the shores of our lakes await you.
For your security, you will find supervised swimming areas on the shore from July, 1st to August, 31st.
- Aiguines - Beach of Galetas,
- Les Salles-sur-Verdon - Beach “Margaridon”,
- Bauduen - Beach of the village.
Jumping into the water from bridges and rocks is forbidden by interdepartmental or municipal order.
For your security, never cross the buoy lines around the dams. EDF reminder: This lake is an artificial lake: the sloping and unstable banks, the depth of the water and the variations in the level of the reservoirs make access to the lake dangerous.
Rafting, canyoning, hydrospeed, white water swimming, water trekking, cano-raft... Many white water activities are possible in the Verdon.
White water activities depend on the release of water from the dams located upstream from Castellane.
They usually take place on Tuesdays and Fridays in July and August, subject to change by EDF.
For the months of March to June, as well as September and October, EDF informs the guides as they become available - so it's best to contact them directly to organize your activity.
In calm waters: Pedalos, electric boats, fun boats, catamarans, paddleboats, windsurfers, dinghies, canoes and kayaks: water sports centres and rental companies await you in Artignosc-sur-Verdon, Bauduen, Les Salles-sur-Verdon and Aiguines.
Calm water activities take place in the form of round trips from the Sainte-Croix and Artignosc-sur-Verdon lakes.
Please note: in the event of bad weather or strong winds, water sports activities may close - please contact the rental companies for further information.

We advise you to come by car so that you can explore our region in complete freedom.
You can also use the on-demand bus qui dessert les communes des cantons de Aups et Barjols lorsque des lignes régulières n’existent pas.

- Contact the reservation center on +33 (0)4 13 94 30 50 - Explain the desired schedule and itinerary, and the center will propose the most suitable transport solution, rationalizing all requests. The booking office is open Monday to Saturday from 08:00 to 12:30 and from 13:30 to 17:00 - Reservations must be made by 17:00 on the previous day at the latest (and by 17:00 on Friday for travel on Saturday or Monday). NB: In the event of cancellation, please let us know no later than 17:00 the day before your trip.
There are many car parks in our villages and almost all of them are free.
